Movie Music: Babel

I have been waiting to make this post. I don't know why, so I'm posting it now. I love this movie. It's a masterpiece. If you haven't seen it, I most indubitably recommend it. Oh, and the soundtrack: jaw dropping. The quality of this music is so beyond par it's life threatening. All the atmospheric scenes in the movie are brought to epic proportions by the soundtrack. Ug, ok, I'll stop groveling and post the music.

September (FPM Beautiful Latin mix)/ The Joker (ATFC's Aces High remix) - Earth Wind And Fire vs. Fatboy Slim

Deportation/Iguazu - Gustavo Santaolalla

Cumbria Sobre El Rio - Celso Pina

Tazarine - Gustavo Santaolalla

Bibo No Aozora - Ryuichi Sakamoto

I'm an Artist Pusher: The Four Seasons

And I needed to post about this group who I never really appreciated. Actually, when I was young, I always thought when Frankie was singing high, (see Walk Like A Man and Big Girls Don't Cry) that it was a woman. Anyways, these were my favorite songs of the night:

Beggin

This is a very creepy sounding song, so I guess you know why I like it.

Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You

Oh my, when the actor was belting this song last night, he took the show to a higher place. Great job [insert actor's name here].

Working My Way Back To You

I'm an Artist Pusher: Sia

I just saw that Sia is featured on a Flo Rida song... WHAT?

Wild Ones - with Flo Rida

Sia usually has really great and quirky music videos to accompany her music, but I guess Flo Rida made this song too "poppy." But check out some of the videos of hers that I like:

Soon We'll Be Found

Buttons

You've Changed

and, of course:

Breathe Me

Previous post with: Sia

I swing from grapefruit trees everywhere I go

Swing Tree - Discovery

Everywhere I Go - Lissie

I first heard this song in Robert Roldan's solo on SYTYCD.

I'm an Artist Pusher: Kris Allen

I first mentioned Kris Allen in this post, where I mentioned some songs I liked from his first album. His new album is set to come out in late May or June. As a result, I've been seeing a lot of leaked songs from Kris Allen. I didn't realize he as popular enough to have this much activity, but hey, I'm not complaining. Here's two of the demos I like so far:

My Weakness

Forget About You

P.S. Oh, and apparently this is his new single:

Vision Of Love (Album Version)

Meh, I don't like it as much as the demos...

I'm an Artist Pusher: Jay Everett Band

The band released a new video today! If you don't remember me posting about Jay Everett Band, look back at my first post (it's my first and biggest post - beware). But the songs I linked to are:

Nobody Else's Problems

Love Me

Jay's Song

I'm loving it already! Great job guys!

I'm an Artist Pusher: Paolo Nutini

Everyone who knows of him probably knows him from his biggest song, New Shoes, but here are two songs from that same album that I also like.

These Streets

Jenny Don't Be Hasty (Music Video Here)
